Stretch Movie Reviews

Why I love movies. It is a wildfire of enjoyment!

Wow! Stretch is a whole theme park of excitement on film. Wilson's acting gets better and better every movie. With the right script he will be winning an Oscar within 3 years or less. The seriousness of his composure in a movie of such hilarity really contributed to the movie's tone & my enjoyment. His acting gave the movie believability which would be impossible on paper.

Chris Pine gave a performance that was much, I mean much, like Rob Lowe's character on Californication, except he played 10 times the character for almost the duration of the movie. His ability to keep a straight face with some lines was truly impressive. The best comparison of watching this movie is placing half of your yearly earnings on a horse to win, plus having great seats to watch, at the Kentucky Derby, the fastest two minutes in sports. Dynamite movie with superb acting with a cast of some of the finest in Hollywood. Norman Reedus was in the movie for about 90 seconds, so it was Patrick Wilson followed by Pine as the focal points of this wildfire.

Of course I would love to see more of Jessica Alba & Ms. Decker in any movie, but I understand that this was not a romcom, it was a thrilltacular/comedy. Though embarrassing (full disclosure), I thought Pine WAS Rob Lowe until the movie was over & I began to write this review. To be fair, his look & character were almost identical to the character on Californication (which to me is a tremendous compliment to both actors). The last three movies I've screened put me to sleep, & this one simply did not offer that option, & gave me back that movie loving feeling. Thank you to everyone involved & there wasn't a dull moment in the movie. It was literally the opposite.
